An ancestress of mine was maintained in her declining years by holding shares in a corporation that owned and leased out slaves. I have nominal ownership of land that fed bison until the 1880's, (probably) cattle until the First Great War, and hobby horses for much of the following century. For now it protects wildlife (and me) from urbanization and the continuing concentration of wealth. What next?
